Occupational Therapist

The Role

Reporting to the Clinical lead the OT is responsible for assessing, designing, and supervising OT treatment goals for children with autism and related developmental disabilities. The OT will collaborate with the ABA treatment team and the BCBAs in the setting up and maintaining of ABA programmes and individual client goals. The OT will collaborate with the treatment team assigned to each clients’ case to help ensure that First Bridge Centre provides high-quality evidence-based services. The OT will complete screenings, assessments, client reports, and other supervisory responsibilities as is appropriate and necessary based on the client service contract.

Ideally experienced in working with ABA, the successful applicant will have experience in managing relationships, excellent communication, and a real passion for delivering the best outcomes for our clients.

We offer supervision and support for all our team.

Role Requirements

We are seeking the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Paediatric experience
  • Completed a masters in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registered
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and their families
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Professionalism and ability to work closely with families whilst maintaining boundaries.

Speech & Language Therapist

The Role

The Speech and Language Therapist will be responsible for assessing, designing, and supervising S&LT treatment goals for children with autism and related developmental disabilities.

Working as part of the interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate with the ABA treatment team and the BCBAs in the setting up and maintaining of ABA programmes and individual client goals. Our Speech and Language Therapist will complete screenings, assessments, client reports, and manage a caseload of single discipline clients under the supervision of the Clinical Lead.

Ideally experienced in working with ABA, the successful applicant will have experience in managing relationships, excellent communication, and a real passion for delivering the best outcomes for our clients.

ABA Therapist/Registered Behaviour Technician

The Role

An ABA Therapist/Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) is responsible for implementing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) interventions for children and young people with autism spectrum disorder and/or other related developmental disabilities in clinic, school, home and community settings.

The role of the ABA Therapist/RBT is to execute treatment plans developed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) to clients receiving services at First Bridge. The ABA Therapist is responsible for providing an engaging, positive and safe client experience in a fast paced and frequently changing environment.

We offer supervision and support for individuals working towards their BCBA® exams.

Role Requirements

We are seeking the following skills and experience:

  • Degree in Education or Psychology (or related field);
  • Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) qualification (desirable);
  • Current work experience in a special school / ABA school or a SEN unit within a mainstream school;

Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®)

The Role

Reporting into the Clinical Director, the appointed BCBA® is responsible for designing and supervising ABA treatment programmes for children and young people with autism and related developmental disabilities. The BCBA will also supervise a treatment team of ABA Therapists/Registered Behaviour Technicians (RBT) in the process of setting up/ maintaining ABA programmes. The role of the BCBA is to supervise the treatment team assigned to each clients’ case to help ensure that First Bridge provides high quality evidence-based services. The BCBA is also accountable for completing client reports and other supervisory responsibilities as is appropriate and necessary, based on the client service contract. In addition, there will be some non-billable responsibilities to assist the CEO in giving clinical input in the construct and development of the business.

Role Requirements

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge and interest in all the recent clinical developments in the field of ABA. Demonstrable leadership credentials and interpersonal skills will be held in equal importance. We are seeking the following skills and experience:

  • BCBA qualified leader who is deeply passionate about the ABA practice, and its interdisciplinary application working alongside relevant professionals and keen to be at the forefront of service offerings to children in need at the earliest possible age;
  • Candidates should have experience as a consulting BCBA and be able to demonstrate that they are always expanding their knowledge around the subject;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with clients, their parents and colleagues; the ability to use the science of ABA in their leadership style;
  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the theories and practice of topics such as Verbal Behaviour, Relational Frame Theory, Organisational Behaviour Management, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Direct Instruction, etc
  • Always strive to provide a service of the highest quality and be able to maintain and replicate it as the business develops.
