Assessment
Here at the First Bridge Centre, we are proud to be a leading ABA Centre in London, specialising in autism spectrum disorder, ADHD and other developmental disorders. When you come to us, the first thing that happens is that you and your child will meet with our team of specialists, who have years of expertise in ABA and behavioural and learning psychology. Our team will conduct a skills and barriers to learning based assessment to determine your child’s skills and needs.
Developing a Treatment Plan
Following on from this, our team will then develop an Individualised Therapy Plan, which is based on your child’s personal needs and obstacles to learning. This plan will encompass a variety of disciplines identified in the assessment. Ultimately, this plan will be used as a roadmap for your child’s progress at the First Bridge Centre.
Intensive Treatment Programme
Next, our Centre director, Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs) and qualified therapists will start your child’s intensive therapy programme. This will take place in a motivating, play-based therapeutic learning environment – specially designed for optimum therapy and outcomes. As part of this programme, your child will have both 1:1 and group-based ABA, with constant BCBA supervision.
Monthly Training Sessions
After this, we invite both parents and carers to monthly training sessions alongside the child’s BCBA and therapy team. We require families to participate in and attend the monthly review, progress and learning meetings – so that they are actively involved in the programme.
Formal Progress Assessment
Finally, one of our behaviour analysts will assess your child’s progress every six months. Once the assessment has taken place, you will meet with our team to go over your child’s assessment report and understand all the data that has been collected.
