First Bridge regularly hosts events for parents with children attending the Centre. We also organise events for parents/carers and professionals who are interested in getting to know us, what we do, and how we can help. We regularly hold ‘meet and greets’ and parent training workshops to help inform and educate, as well as build relationships within our local community.

First Bridge Education is excited to announce our FREE webinar: “Building Communication: How ABA and AAC Work Together“.

For children who are non-speaking or have limited verbal language, finding the right support for communication can feel overwhelming, whether you are a parent, SENCo, or early years practitioner.

This webinar explores how Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) can work together to give children meaningful ways to express themselves, from gestures and visuals to communication devices and signs.

You will learn:

  • What AAC really is and why it matters for all forms of communication
  • How ABA strategies support the consistent, functional use of AAC
  • What meaningful progress can look like for different learners
  • How to create a communication-rich environment at home or in the classroom
