Location: Chelsea, London, UK
Salary: £24,000 – £25,975 (Year-Round Contract)
Working Pattern: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about starting a rewarding career in ABA Therapy. As a Trainee ABA Therapist, you’ll be at the heart of helping children develop crucial skills, using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). Through hands-on, playful activities and structured therapy techniques, you’ll support children in gaining independence, confidence, and the ability to communicate effectively. Under the guidance of experienced Clinical Supervisors, you’ll learn to use ABA techniques in a way that’s both impactful and engaging for each child’s unique journey.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in structured, evidence-based therapy sessions.
  • Support and implement in delivering structured ABA Therapy sessions to support children in reaching developmental milestones in Early Years Education and Special Needs Education.
  • Monitor progress and collect data to track each child’s journey in areas such as early childhood development.
  • Collaborate and work closely with clinical supervisors to adapt and refine therapy plans for effective, engaging support.
  • Adapt creatively to changing conditions, ensuring a positive and engaging environment for children.
  • Provide personal care (e.g., dressing, toileting) where required.

Qualifications & Experience

No prior ABA experience is required just a passion for making a difference and a commitment to continuous learning. Whether you have direct experience in ABA or come from a related field, we provide the training you need to excel. Here is what we ask from you:

Minimum:

  • Maths and English or GCSE equivalent.
  • Basic IT skills

Essential:

  • A positive, patient approach; warm personality; clear communication; and a genuine passion for working with children.

Desirable:

Experience in social care, education, or related fields is a plus but not required

We’re hiring a Clinical Supervisor to lead ABA programmes at our specialist autism centre and school. If you’re BCBA or UKBA(cert) certified and ready to step into a role with leadership, impact, autonomy, and progression, this could be your next move.

About the Role and What You’ll do

As a Clinical Supervisor (BCBA / UKBA(cert)), you will:

  • Lead the design and delivery of ABA programmes tailored to each pupil’s needs
  • Supervise a therapy team (Room Lead and ABA Therapists / RBTs)
  • Oversee progress and uphold clinical standards across Centre and Outreach services
  • Collaborate closely with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Create positive change by supporting the development of essential skills, reducing challenging behaviours, and improving quality of life
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments (VB-MAPP, ABLLS, Vineland, FBA, Sequence Analysis Data, CARS2)
  • Design personalised education and therapy plans, including IEPs
  • Monitor pupil progress and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Supervise, train, and support ABA Therapists and Room Leads
  • Deliver 1:1s, team meetings, and performance reviews
  • Provide UKBA(cert) supervision where applicable
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals
  • Support induction and clinical training of new staff
  • Ensure compliance with First Bridge Education, BACB, and UK SBA standards
What you bring
Essential:
  • BCBA and/or UKBA(cert) certification
  • Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field
  • Strong ABA clinical skills; confident designing and supervising programmes
  • Experience leading small teams and delivering clinical training
  • Warm, patient, professional approach with children and families
  • Clear communicator with solid time management and organisational skills
  • Familiarity with standardised and curriculum-based assessments
Desirable:
  • Experience in school or centre-based ABA delivery
  • Supervisor coursework completed (per BACB guidelines)
  • Knowledge and use of Hi Rasmus data platform
